Editorial Policy

At WebPulse Jobs, we help Kenyan job seekers find legitimate opportunities. Our content exists to serve you, not to sell you things.

This Editorial Policy explains how we create, review, and publish content on our website. Transparency matters to us. You deserve to know how we work.

Our Mission

We publish content that helps Kenyan job seekers make informed decisions about their careers.

That means:

  • Accurate information about jobs and employers

  • Practical advice you can actually use

  • Warnings about scams and fake listings

  • Honest descriptions of what to expect in the job market

We do not publish content just to rank on Google. We publish because job seekers need reliable information.

How We Choose

We write about topics that matter to Kenyan job seekers.

Our topics come from:

  • Questions job seekers ask us directly

  • Problems we see people struggling with

  • Scams and fake job patterns we identify

  • Real job opportunities from verified employers

  • Changes in Kenya’s job market

We do not write about something just because it is trendy. We write because it helps someone find work or avoid a scam.

How We Research

Every article we publish is based on research.

For job listings:

  • We verify employer details before posting

  • We check that contact information is legitimate

  • We remove listings that ask for money from applicants

  • We investigate reports from users about suspicious posts

For advice articles:

  • We draw from real experience working with job seekers

  • We consult Kenyan employment practices, not generic international advice

  • We update articles when things change

  • We correct mistakes when we find them

For company and opportunity posts:

  • We use information from official sources only

  • We link to original job postings so you can verify yourself

  • We never copy content from other sites without adding value

How We Handle Scams

Fake job listings are a serious problem in Kenya. We take them seriously.

If we find a fake listing:

  • We remove it immediately

  • We ban the employer account

  • We document the scam pattern to warn others

If you report a suspicious listing:

  • We investigate within 24 hours

  • We take down anything that violates our policy

  • We keep your report confidential

We also publish articles teaching job seekers how to spot scams themselves. We want you to be safe on any platform, not just ours.

Sponsored and Affiliate Links

We are transparent about money.

Sponsored content: If a company pays us to write about them, we will clearly label it as sponsored. You will know when you are reading paid content.

Affiliate links: We do not currently use affiliate links. If that changes, we will update this policy and clearly label any affiliate content.

Job posting fees: Employers may pay to post jobs on our platform. That does not influence our editorial content. A paying employer is not guaranteed positive coverage from our writing team.

We never accept payment for:

  • Positive reviews of a company

  • Removing negative information

  • Promoting a scam or fake opportunity

How We Review

The job market changes. Our content changes with it.

New articles: Reviewed by at least two team members before publishing.

Existing articles: Reviewed every six months for accuracy. Updated immediately if we learn something has changed.

Job listings: Reviewed before going live. Expired listings are removed or clearly marked.

Corrections: If we make a mistake, we correct it openly. We note the correction at the bottom of the article so readers know what changed.

Corrections Policy

We get things wrong sometimes. When we do, we fix them.

To report an error:

  • Email us at corrections@webpulse.co.ke

  • Tell us the article title and the error you found

  • Provide correct information if you have it

Once confirmed, we will:

  • Correct the error promptly

  • Note the correction at the bottom of the article

We do not delete articles to hide mistakes. We correct and learn.

Comments

We welcome comments on our articles. We want to hear from you.

However, we will remove comments that:

  • Contain false or misleading information

  • Promote scams or fake jobs

  • Attack other commenters personally

  • Contain hate speech or harassment

  • Spam links to unrelated content

We do not pre-approve comments. But we do monitor them. If you see something concerning, email us at community@webpulse.co.ke.

Independence

Our editorial content is independent.

No employer, advertiser, or partner dictates what we write. We do not publish positive articles about companies just because they post jobs with us. We do not hide negative information to keep a paying customer happy.

If a team member has a conflict of interest regarding a topic, they disclose it before writing. If needed, another writer handles the article.

Feedback

You tell us what we are doing right and wrong.

We read every email. We track common questions. We use your feedback to decide what to write next.

If multiple people ask the same question, we write an article answering it. If you tell us a scam is circulating, we investigate and warn others.

Your voice shapes our content. That is how it should be.

Commitment

We promise to:

  • Publish accurate, helpful information

  • Correct mistakes openly

  • Never promote scams or fake jobs

  • Label sponsored content clearly

  • Listen to your feedback

  • Put job seekers first, not money

We cannot promise to be perfect. But we promise to try.
