Internship Opportunities Available

BIMAS Kenya Limited is offering five distinct internship roles covering human resources, finance, loan management, information technology, and records management.


HR and Administration Intern

This internship is based at the Head Office in Nairobi. Candidates must possess a diploma or degree in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline. A minimum grade of C plain at KCSE is required, and applicants must be at least 23 years of age. Computer literacy is essential. Duties will be assigned by the supervising manager and will include general HR and administrative support functions.


Loan Officer Intern

This internship opportunity is available in various field offices of BIMAS Kenya Limited, not at the Head Office. Candidates must hold a minimum of a diploma in a business-related course. A minimum grade of C plain at KCSE is required, and applicants must be 23 years of age or above. Qualified local candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Finance and Data Entry Intern

This full-time internship is based in Nairobi. Candidates must hold a relevant diploma or degree with CPA qualifications. Duties will be assigned by the supervisor and will include finance support, data entry, and accounting-related tasks. This role suits candidates pursuing careers in accounting, finance, or auditing.


Software Development and End User Support Intern

This contract internship is based in Nairobi and requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related IT field, or equivalent professional experience.

Key responsibilities include setting up, configuring, and maintaining computers, mobiles, hardware, systems, and applications. The intern will troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnose and solve hardware or software faults, and develop and maintain software applications. Resolving IT support requests from clients and employees, gathering and analyzing data to diagnose computer system problems, and installing new software and hardware drivers are essential duties.

The intern will also log all service requests and update tickets as needed, install and maintain computer networks including WAN and LAN, ensure availability of computer systems and infrastructure, provide end user support, and perform any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.


Registry and Records Management Intern

This contract internship is based in Nairobi. Candidates must be computer literate and have achieved a minimum grade of C plain at KCSE. A diploma or degree in a relevant field such as Records Management, Library Science, Business Administration, or Human Resources is required.

Key responsibilities include classifying and labelling documents and filing accordingly, ensuring the document management system is up to date, and keeping the registry and archive clean. The intern will respond to record requests by retrieving requested files, maintain accurate records of document orders and movements, and remove or archive repeated documents or irrelevant or outdated information.

Responding to queries in person, by email, by post, or by phone is required. The intern must maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity and be able to work as part of a team.


Minimum Requirements by Role

HR and Administration Intern: Diploma or degree in a relevant field, minimum C plain at KCSE, at least 23 years old, computer literacy.

Loan Officer Intern: Diploma in a business-related course, minimum C plain at KCSE, at least 23 years old, must indicate preferred field office location.

Finance and Data Entry Intern: Diploma or degree with CPA qualifications, minimum C plain at KCSE, at least 23 years old.

Software Development and End User Support Intern: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related IT field.

Registry and Records Management Intern: Diploma or degree in a relevant field, minimum C plain at KCSE, computer literacy, confidentiality and integrity required.
