IGRTC Recruitment 2026 – 7 Member Vacancies at Intergovernmental Relations Technical Committee
The Intergovernmental Relations Technical Committee is inviting applications.
Seven vacancies for Members of the Technical Committee have been declared. This follows the expiry of the six year non renewable term of current members, effective June 19, 2026.
This is a high level appointment under the Intergovernmental Relations Act of 2012. If you have a distinguished career and at least ten years of professional experience, this opportunity is for you.

Vacancies have arisen following the expiry of the six year non renewable term of the current members, effective June 19, 2026.
The IGRTC is now seeking seven qualified Kenyan citizens to fill these positions.
Eligibility Requirements
To be appointed as a Member of the Intergovernmental Relations Technical Committee, a person must:

Disqualification Criteria
Under Section 11(6) of the Intergovernmental Relations Act, a person shall not be eligible for appointment if they:

Are a member of Parliament or a County Assembly

Are a member of a governing body of a political party

Are an elected or nominated member of a county government

Are a member of a Commission established under the Constitution

Are an undischarged bankrupt
-
Have been removed from office for contravening the Constitution or any other law

Have, in the conduct of their affairs, not met any statutory obligations
